Hey, I was thinking about doing a Jill Valentine cosplay with the new Mercenaries coming out soon. I've got tons of harnesses, etc. but I'm having some difficultly on what to do about the body suit. I'm a new cosplayer with little experience. Anyone know any good sites to buy something like that? I don't think I can make one...I might be able to add the light blue parts of it. Any ideas at all would be much appreciated :)

Just so you know. This isn't her Mercenaries outfit. This is her Revelations outfit. XD This (http://projectumbrella.net/files/images/RE5GEMainVisual1.jpg) is her Mercenaries/LiN costume.

Anyways. If your inexperienced and don't want to make a bodysuit (which really ISN'T terribly difficult. Using a pair of your own well fitting pants and long sleeved shirt you can make a homemade pattern.) I would recommend checking local dance or gymnastic stores, I don't advocate buying body suits online as they are pretty iffy things, for a friend's Samus suit she had to send it back four times in order to get one that properly fit. For the light blue parts, you can either sew an athletic wear fabric to make those shapes, but doing so isn't easy, you'll want to pin and try it all on before you sew, if you have a friend who could actually fit it to you that would be even better, or you can airbrush it on. For military gear I recommend checking the Resident Evil Cosplay Thread (http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=47209) and asking them. The boys are very knowledgeable. I personally like Optics Planet for my gear. I'd also take care to notice that her body suit ISN'T full. It's a short legged bodysuit, much like a wetsuit would be for snorkeling. Those are probably matching leggings, so that might make your job a bit easier.

Best of luck with this costume!
