okay, me and my friend have decided to go as Hikaru and Kaoru for anime north. But we are having one issue. The actual costume. I'm no good with sewing and i have next to no creativity. She on the other hand is a little better. I can make the costume, but I would prefer to buy it as it looks better/more professional. Any ideas on a good site to buy from? If not where to buy than any advice on making said costume? Thanks in advance for the help.

The Ouran uniform is a bright blue jacket, white dress shirt with a black tie, and black dress pants. If you're a girl I would suggest looking in the men's dress section and find clothing items that match what you're looking for and alter them to fit you. If you're a boy then you probably won't even need to do that at all! You can get the Ouran badge thingys they have on lots of different websites. I think you just iron them on or sew them on by hand. Good luck! xoxo

Thanks :) I'm male and u were right lol. All I need is the jacket. However it looks like I'll be paying for my friends costume and she'll have to pay me back...

Technically the tie has a light purple vertical stripe on it as well, so if you wanted to be super accurate you could try sewing a piece of thin ribbon down a black tie. You can probably find every shade of ribbon under the sun in a craft store.

Also to be technical, I've heard people say the jacket is "periwinkle" but the precisely exact shade shouldn't matter as long as both jackets are the same. If they're not it will really stand out with the two of you next to each other. (I only mention it because I've seen Host Clubs who all have different jackets and it really takes away the School Uniform effect)

You can either buy an Ouran jacket, or look for a similar jacket in a store and buy the Ouran patch off ebay or from a cosplay shop. They're everywhere. The jacket may be hard to find in a store though, depending on how accurate you want it to be, so buying the jacket online might be your best bet.

I'm not the one to give advice on cosplay stores though, sorry, because I make my cosplays. (doesn't want to sound prissy, just saying, I don't know which ones are good)

With the white shirt and black pants, those should be easy.

I've heard that the best place is Milanoo. It would be really cool, however, to go as the chesire cats from episode 13.
