View Full Version : Crown Clown Pattern help?

I'm going shopping for fabric and what not tomorrow so thats all...good... but i'm hoping to find a pattern i can alter. i just have no clue what would be a good base pattern to use for the cloak x_x
does anyone know what would be suitable??

I think this is a bit late? XD Anyway, you can pick any shirt pattern and alter it to be the shape of the cloak. You're doing the one without the left sleeve, right? Just alter the pattern connecting the left and back pieces together without the sleeve hole, and add a bit of flare to make it more flowy. Add flare to the other side, too, but keep the sleeve hole as it is. I think a pattern with a princess-seam back would look best, but you can use one without them and add darts to make it fit nicely and not just hang like a tent.

My friend just borrowed one of my long sleeve shirts, and used that as the base around the cloak.
The cloak is just like a long regular jacket/hoodie with a zipper (Just minus the zipper on the cloak)
If you mean the 2nd uniform Crown Clown.. No clue.

For the second uniform I used this pattern that I'm working on.
For the cloak/cape (http://www.cosplay.com/costume/226359/) I used a simple cap pattern but added on sleeve to where the souled area was designated on the cloak.
