Well, Your all going to think that I'm a big procrastinator.
Which I am.
BUT
I was promised to have help with this cosplay and I'm not getting any. With the convention now two weeks away I need to hurry.
Last year I cosplayed Katara in her fire nation outfit. I didn't use any pattern for the shirt. Just kinda winged it. Now this year I'm going as Invasion Katara. Well, I cannot figure out how to make this shirt. I have run out of money and the patterns for this are expensive. I just need a quick way to make this shirt otherwise I'm going to end up going to this con in a shirt full of saftey pins! D:
Also need help with the gloves. >.>

If you want a quick and easy way I would take a tshirt that you have that fits and trace it (I assume that you are using a knit with some stretch) and use that as the pattern for the shirt and then take your second fabric and applique the white onto the collar. There are many tutorials on youtube for how to trace a shirt to make a pattern.
ps. here's a tutorial for gloves that I've used and had success with I'm sure you can mod it to you needs. http://crashcult.blogspot.com/2011/03/easy-glove-tutorial.html there are also tutorials for fingerless gloves on youtube as well. Good Luck!!

I made that outfit for Tora-Con '11 this year. What I did was find a dress pattern that had short sleeves and a short dress. I made some modifications to it, but it worked pretty well. ^w^

If I can find it, I'll tell you what the pattern was called.
