Okay, so I'm short, pale, dark haired, and kind of blue eyed... so I'm planning the female Ciel cosplay from this picture http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://i99.photobucket.com/albums/l301/Heartless_Nobody/Kuroshitsuji/CielOjou-sama-pannotmyscreenshot.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.cosplay.com/showthread.php%3Ft%3D210731&usg=__PHdKyoOQeSr2Bib0FNKjO-IwQbs=&h=800&w=511&sz=69&hl=en&start=33&zoom=1&tbnid=olc4dpvdjn-OgM:&tbnh=176&tbnw=112&ei=8wuhTcynFLTciAKml7yEAw&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dfemale%2Bciel%2Bphantomhive%26um%3D1% 26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:en-us%26rlz%3D1I7GGLL_en%26biw%3D1259%26bih%3D679%26t bm%3Disch0%2C378&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=791&vpy=271&dur=2153&hovh=281&hovw=179&tx=128&ty=80&oei=zQuhTdLlFtG2tgeDz6z3Ag&page=2&ndsp=19&ved=1t:429,r:4,s:33&biw=1259&bih=679 And I was just hoping for some advice from you cosplay gurus as I'm clueless~ If you're willing to give a newb (1 cosplay so far) some tips, I have 2 questions:

1) If I have a pink dress that looks a lot like that, do you think I could get away with just adding the white frills, getting a petticoat, and doing all the gathers and black stripes myself or should I just buy the thing? It wouldn't look obvious but do you think it would be hard to do that?

And the thing I'm REALLY worried about
2) I have heterochromia, aka two differently colored eyes. The eye that is supposed to be uncovered has a large brown spot in it, but the rest is blue so colored contacts don't work on that eye (I've tried... it looks weird). The eye that's supposed to be covered is the shade of blue I need. :blubber: Do you think I should I just do the cosplay with the correct eye covered and my brown spot out there for the world to see, or flip the cosplay and do a mirrored Ciel with my blue eye? Here's a pic of my eye if that helps (there's a FB group for weird eyes!)... http://s557.photobucket.com/albums/ss11/Saki_Watari/?action=view&current=1Eye-2.jpg

I'd really appreciate the help with this, and thank you so much for reading!

i don't think anyone would notice your eye in person, lots of people don't wear contacts for cosplay anyway. :'D i think more people who are familiar with the series would comment on your cosplay being mirrored than your eye having a brown patch in it. don't worry about it, man~

re: your dress, i don't know what your dress looks like so i couldn't say. i reckon it'd be harder to modify an existing dress than to try and make a new one from scratch though, but this really depends on your dress? someone more experienced with sewing could probably offer better advice though ^^;
