Hello there, I have a few questions and/or concerns regarding a cosplay i'm hoping to do!

(I hope i didn't post int he wrong forum ;w;)

I'm hoping to be able to do my very own Medic cosplay from the game Team Fortress 2!
Here's a Reference : http://misc.levels4you.com/l4y/tf2_medic.jpg

I have most of the Thing i need, such as Belt, Pants, and Boots. And i'm already constructing most of the props. The only real problem i'm having is finding an either Cheap jacket, or a Tutorial on how to make it. Most people have told me to get a normal button up jacket, but his jacket looks like this : http://misc.levels4you.com/l4y/tf2_medic.jpg

If anyone could suggest a cheaper alternative, whether it be buying or making myself, please let me know! Tutorials would be awesome as well!

If you care about accuracy, then making it yourself is the way to go. You could get by with just a simple labcoat, but it sounds like you want something that looks better.

As for making it yourself:
There was a pattern released this past Halloween to make the Mad Hatter's coat from Alice in Wonderland that also has a longer version in it. It's Simplicity 2333. I think that's one of the better patterns to adapt for the Medic's coat. You can see it here: http://www.simplicity.com/p-5402-mens-costumes.aspx

Other people have adapted a pattern for Neo's coat from the Matrix, too.
