I've styled wigs before and they've turned out, in my opinion, well but this one's stumped me. It's Flannery from Pokemon.

Here's a couple reference pictures:

Honestly, I'm not even sure what wig to buy or whether to go with pink or red, it's kind of in between. XD

I'd say look around a find a pinkish red wig or go with a dark pink wig. As for styling it your going to need something inside the wig to support thos huge spike things and lots of hair glue.

I'd say get a short wig, and then a pile of extensions, wefts, or even loose wig fiber in the same color. It would probably be easiest to use red craft foam and wire to make the base of her ponytail, then glue the longer hair over it and attach it to the back of the short wig.

I don't think it's possible to make her hair entirely out of one wig >_>

This (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OAMfAl4Re60) tutorial should help for spiking the ponytail.

I think you should get a red wig to be on the safe side. If you can a lighter tone of red. Make sure it's pretty long and thick. Tie the wig as a ponytail with a blue tie but keep a good amount of hair on the left or right side at the front. (That will be the bangs that covers one of your eyes.) As far as the ponytail, section it into four parts. Use hair gel or hair glue to defy the gravity and style the four sections out as you see in the picture(picture of Flannery). Yugioh cosplayers had to do this for yugi so it shouldn't be too hard. You can make the ponytail ends flat if you wish. Hope that helps!
