So I've scrolled through several Allen Walker cosplay threads around this forum, but none have seemed to help me since the thread maker didn't quite ask what I was looking for.

I wish to cosplay Allen Walker. I've got his wing down, and I'm in the process of making his sword as we speak.

Now, I'm currently interested in making two of Allen's cosplays.
His original organization uniform, and his Crown Clown outfit.

Here's my problem, I've got making weapons sort of down, so I'm fine with prop making. (I've made his hand, sort of.)
I wish to know how to make his organization outfit.

My current problems : His coat, I've got NO clue how to make it. I want to make it as detailed and realistic as possible. I'll be making it over the course of several months slowly and carefully.

His boots, I've got a small idea of how to make it, buy a base long boot, cut through it, and insert a big zipper and lap the top over itself... O.o;; I may be wrong.

Now, as for his Crown Clown.. Reference;

Yet again, as the other costume, no clue how to make or start it...

I would like to mention, I want to make it a bit leathery. Sort of like http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3476/3774145356_762e769919.jpg .
That kind of material. But not to the point where it shines. Lol. Just a light leather or pleather (I think they call it that) type material. :)

P.S - I have no sewing experience, nor do I own a sewing machine. (I think. ;X)

If possible, make your post as detailed as possible, or contact me through a PM and we can chat through Aim or MSN. ^_^

Thanks for taking your time to read this. I hope I can get some assistance on this.
If you have any questions or you need more detail from my thread that I may have left out, ask me and I'll bring to light that question. ;X

I've got some weapon advice:

For the crown clown claw, what I did was get two long black gloves (at least elbow-length), and put them together till it reached about 6-8" short of my shoulder. They were spray-paintable, but you could probably so the silver stuff on there as well.

As for the actual claws themselves, I used the same stuff to make them as I did the Sword of Exorcism: Pink foam. Big slabs of foam insulation available at your local hardware store. You just have to be very precise and careful when carving the claws.

I have to say, you are quite ambitious for choosing Allen as your first cosplay with your level of sewing experience. I an currently making my Allen cosplay (the first uniform)
For the coat, I got a relatively simple hooded jacket pattern and lengthened it so it would reach my ankles. I chose twill for the coat since it isn't too heavy but holds its shape well. I've heard of people using pleather, but it sounds like a hastle to sew through 3+ layers when you're adding details.
For the details in white on the front of the coat (not including the placket for the buttons) I used white extra-wide bias tape and top-stitched it straight onto the black twill
For the white yoke on the back of the coat I just used white twill, attaching it to the back with an invisible seam.

You mentioned trying to make your own boots. I thought about trying to get a hold of a pair of plain black boots, but then I discovered that there were none for less than US $80... I ended up buying my boots online from milanoo.com (they're having a sale right now if you're interested)

Hope some of this helps!
