Ok Hi hi!

I'm currently planning a cosplay/birthday/we're too poor to go to AX Tokyo/Holiday get together thing. It should take place sometime between December 1-15. Most likely....Saturday the 13th. I also want to make it a birthday thingy kuz I'm turning 16 and I want to make it memorable! ^__^

I have no clue on where it'll be held yet so I'll get back to ya on that one. If you have any suggestions on where we can hold it, please do tell! I live in Anaheim..so somehwere close would be very nice..I'd hold it where I live..but stupid apt ...not allowed to hold parties.

And if you're thinking ">.> Wait if it's a birthday..would I have to bring a present?" Lol actually you don't have to...just provide yourself and an empty stomach for feasting! I wouldn't want to buy soemthing for someone I don't know.. so yea o.O No need for gifts! Just an empty stomach so we can feed ya! (Btw..we need food providers...)

Now onto cosplay: You don't have to cosplay either. Most likely I won't be cosplaying >.> I might be lazy to do so ^.^; What I'm planning is a cosplay/birthday/we're too poor to go to AX Tokyo/ Holiday thing.

1.) karaokee
2.) mini masq. (I myself will probably be doing a little yuri skit once again!)
3.) of course food!
4.) Anime screenings (depends on where the gathering is held)
5.) games? (suggestions?)

More suggestions the better!! I'll update more and give out more info once more planning is done and the time nears! I hope you can all come!!

I'll go...wait, I think Gen cons that weekend, isn't it?
...just looked at my calander. yep. Gen con id that weekend...in Anaheim!!! You should just have a gathering outside the convention center! ^O^ and there's no problem cosplaying 'cause I'll already be in costume!

Any of you people who are going to gencon will enter the costume contest? I am tempted, but I do not know how the competition will look like, since I am just making my second self-made costume, but what the heck, you only live once.

What are you going to dress up as Suzushichan? I am planning to go as the Paladin from FFTA, if I can find a turban, of course, those things are proving harder to find than I thought (who would have known?).

I didn't know there was going to be a costume contest...hmm...oh, and I'll be bringin' more than one costume! I decided not to bring my sephiroth costume 'cause I'm savin' it for ConDor X (convention in san diego) But I will be bringing the following costumes;

Uriko (bloody roar 3 'red costume')
Tifa (jus' finished this one! yay! ^_^)
Kaze (final fantasy unlimited) (maybe...)
Rinoa (ff8)

and I may bring an original costume...if you see someone in black and green with feathers and leather, and they look like they came from a j-rock band...that'll be me. ^^

but what costume should I enter the contest with?

I'd say Kaze or Rinoa, the others are ok, but I heard the competition is a bit stiff. I am upping the ante on my costume to make it a bit better. I may end up mking 1 or 2 more, but those will be simple in nature (compared to the Paladin Costume, which proved to be waaaaay harder than I thought it would be). So far here are my prospects (this includes costumes I am working on for other cons, which may or may not be finsihed on time - but I'll make the time if I have to =P)

- Paladin (FFTA)
- Garland (as seen in 8-bit theater but less "pixelized" .... er, right)
- Red Mage (still looking for an appropiate hat and boots)
- Tonberry (easisest costume ever, except for the horror story with the mask and the gloves, and ah crud never mind, it was a nightmare lol).
- Time Mage (now this one was good once I figured out how to make a hat)

I could finish Garland in time, but I really don't want to rush it... I probably will take the Time Mage, Red Mage, and Paladin costumes, wiht the Paladin for the contest only.

You know of any more people who are going Suzushichan? I am trying to get a group together for it. But first I need to give my costume a few final touches...

I don't know, Do you really think that many people with Reeeeeeally good costumes will be there? hmm...maybe I could bring my Marionette costume jus' to freak people out.

eh, for the contest I planned on wearing my Tifa costume, and bring on stage with me the big plushy Red XIII! It's so friggin' cute! ^O^
I don't really plan on winning anything, I just want to have fun and get my costume(s) seen. ^_^

Hey, I'll try and come! Just give some more info, or if we'll meet at GenCon.

11-14-2003, 06:16 PM
what day(s) are you going to be there?

Ok Hi hi!

I'm currently planning a cosplay/birthday/we're too poor to go to AX Tokyo/Holiday get together thing. It should take place sometime between December 1-15.

Quick heads up, Videl-chan and I will be heading up the "We're Too Poor To Go To Anime Expo: Tokyo" which is now planned for one of the days our fellow otakus will be in Japan, that’s either January 17th (Saturday), or 18th (Sunday). There will be a new thread started when I get to chat with Videl-chan more. Location will be in the Orange County area, probably Fullerton or even at Creek Park in La Mirada where our other gathering met. We're gonna scout out some other parks and scenic areas around and find a good spot! ^_^ Fear not!

As for the birthday! You can count on me to bring food and such! We never got to play Freeze Tag!!! And that was the one thing that I swore we'd play last time. But I guess playing tag in the ash wasn't gonna be good for any ones lungs. What else? -_- ::ponders:: Hmmm? I have that ball still! ^_^ hehehe! The weekend of December 12-14th is right before CSUF's finals, so I have to focus on that first and then cosplay. Keep up the good work! ^_^

The way I figure it, it is best if we all meet at gen con. People who know each other will have no problem, but since I probably will not know anyone I do not bring with me, I'd have to bring a large disposable banner saying something along the lines of "Cosplay.com Gen Con group". Anyway, it is still a few days away, so there is a bit fo timw to plan. I had forgotten about finals, but I won't worry too much about them, unless I have no idea where I am in the class...

I will start a new thread after I get some sleep, post there if you want to meet up at Gen Con, I will be taking my camera, so that I can post some pics on the site as well.
