Okay, so...I'm doing this HUGE Yu Yu Hakusho group relatively soon, and I'd like to do individual shoots for each character in a location in which he or she would be likely to be found.
But I have NO idea what sort of locations to look for, so I'm asking for suggestions. At the very least, maybe your suggestions will trigger a sort of "Oh yeah! I know a place like that!" response.

Anyway, the characters in the group are:

Yusuke (green suit)
Kuwabara (blue suit)
Kurama (pink suit version, not youko version)
Hiei (black...dress and scarf thing)
Koenma (teenage)
Botan (pink kimono version)
Genkai (old and young versions)

So...anybody? :)

Well since you're going with Spirit Detective Saga clothes I suggest borrowing a school, an area with some buildings (something urban) or a park.

I've seen the show and these are the immediate ideas I get. =3 I hope I helped

Oooh, that's a good idea.

Maybe a school that's open for the summer?

I know I could do just hallways with lockers and stuff for Yusuke and Kuwabara. Myabe a science classroom for Kurama? (Gloves, goggles and a labcoat over that pink suit? YES.) Or maybe a library.

Hiei...maybe the roof of the school?

My Koenma called, and he's secured his dad's office as a shoot location. (His dad, who is conveniently bald, has also volunteered to let himself be painted purple and will play the "ogre" for the shoot.)

But...Genkai?

And I'd love to do something with cats for Kuwabara, and roses for Kurama...Hrm...

But thank you! You totally helped!

If anyone else has any ideas, please don't hesitate to tell me about them. :)

Genkai's tricky....I feel like you could do something nature-y with her though...since her temple is woods all around.

And kitties all over Kuwabara! So cute x3 Maybe try a pet store or shelter? See if you could ask to see the kittens for a picture shoot? Unless you have a friend with many kitties.

Sort of an involved idea, but I think it'd be cool if you could get a picture of Botan standing at the edge of some water reflecting the sky. Even if it's just a puddle like this (http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2613/3710253811_376d27868d.jpg), I think it looks like a window into another world, which fits her psychopomp role.

Ooooh! That's a good idea! A salt flat would work, I think.

Go to the nearest downtown and find some gritty looking alleys and stuff for pictures like this click (http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs42/f/2009/067/4/0/Yusuke_and_Kuwabara_by_cazetta.jpg) or even driving tunnels [be careful!]. If I'm not mistaken Yusuke's neighborhood is sort of a midtown neighborhood, so finding a good modern-ish neighborhood between downtown and uptown would be good for shots of just walking down the street. Find a playground and do shots of Yusuke acting like an asshat on the equipment while Kuwabara laughs at him, or something to that effect. If your local highschool will let you, have Yusuke and Kuwabara crouch down with cigarettes in the gym (or outdoor track) like, "fuck I'm not doing that BS."

For Genkai - I'd find the nearest Japanese garden near you for her. Most of them will have some sort of old building structure for decoration and seeing Genkai in a traditional element would be nice. Places like this is what I'm talking about click (http://www.google.com/search?q=maymont+japanese+garden&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wi&biw=1280&bih=655)

Good luck with your shoot, I'd love to see how it turns out!
