View Full Version : Zentai noob help? :D

Okay so hai there~
I was thinking about cosplaying a character that wears a zentai-like suit. (Anti-Spiral Nia from TTGL)
The only problem is I have no idea about anything pertaining to zentai suits and I've tried searching around for information but I've had little luck. So I want some advice from people who have worn/messed around with Zentai suits.

So question 1! In general, are lycra zentai suits completely opaque?

2)What paints will really stick to lycra zentai? (I've been told to stray away from acrylic)

3)What can one wear under a zentai suit that wouldn't be horribly obvious? (o/////o basically I refuse to not wear at least something under it >.>)

and last but not least~

4)Does weight really have an issue with zentai? I mean I'm rather average build (size Medium in most things) I'm just afraid of it looking.....unappealing on someone who isn't rail-thin.

Well if you can help then Thank you! :D <3<3<3

P.S. Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Please feel free to move it as needed or point me in the right direction~ :D Thank you~ <3

I can't speak from experience, but I'll try and answer as best as I can.

1) Since it's black and not a light color like white, I think you'll be fine as long as you wear nude underwear.

2) My best guess would be a fabric paint.

3) T-shirt bra (or if you're really paranoid of lines, you can use those adhesive petals to cover your nipples and go without a bra), and boyshorts or a thong.

4) You'll probably be fine. If you're worried about size, you can always try body shapers like Spanx.
