I found this on one of my other forums that I frequent and it seems to show that there might not be that much room to cosplay inside the halls?

Will we be able to utilize the hallways and sit around or will we be asked to stand up like at Anime Expo?

I'd appreciate it if you'd edit your post and remove that attachment. Internal documents should stay internal, and once the layouts are approved, we'll be releasing them officially anyway.

Large gatherings in the halls are unfortunately never permitted (they actually ARE a fire hazard). The easiest rule of thumb for walkways is that you need to leave plenty of space for people to pass through, and by cosplay gatherings by nature tend to block the road. This is also why in past years (excluding 2010), AX staffers typically told you to move against the wall rather than saying you had to stand up.

Regarding cosplay space, I disagree with your claim that Hall B doesn't have enough open room. Also, if an alternate area is needed (eg another gathering already going on), I'd recommend use of the open air walkway between the ACC. Cosplayers already tend to congregate there anyway, so putting gatherings there is just natural.

Seriously, did you not go to AX when it was in Anaheim? Nobody gathered inside the actual hallways, which btw are the big warehouse areas past the lobby hallway inside the ACC. One of the biggest reasons the ACC is so beloved amongst con goers is because of the large open space immediately outside the con center that is is covered with plenty of plants and palm trees for background. This aint LACC, thank god.

Stay clear of doors in the purple area and everyone will be happy.

Photographers, just make sure you shift the tint towards Magenta a bit because the light can get quite green due to all the vegetation. Lots of shade for nice soft lighting though, especially in the later afternoon.
