Oh Martel <3 why are you so hard to locate a pattern for?

So far we're thinking we'll use two different patterns, one for the collar that me and my Yuan can both use, and one for the actual dress.

Unless I feel like pattern drafting (which I'd REALLY like to avoid) we're having issues finding something workable enough for her dress...

Dose anyone have any recommendations?

I WOULD say to use a strapless dress, but looking at the back view... eh.

I'm thinking a long skirt pattern and a vest pattern (heavily altered of course), and piece the white and green parts together.

There are some special occasion patterns that have half-jacket things that you could use to fuse the sleeves into the dress.

Maybe through this you can just piece together the white and green areas to get a start. I'm not sure I can help you with the black that attaches to the whole dress. That's more than likely going to have to be drafted.

Hm... you might be able to use a raglan sleeve pattern, and cut pieces out of it. Raglan sleeves are like on those "baseball" shirts. Although you've got the added joy of raglan mandarin collar going on, which means you're probably going to have to do a muslin mock-up.

So, my suggestion is find a pattern that has raglan sleeves and a front fastening, and then make it up as you go from there.

I don't know much about patterns, but this I've found has been an incredibly useful reference for me in the past picture that might help you as well! Good luck :)
