So I'd like to help my fiance with a Ganondorf costume, the Ocarina of Time version. However, the reference images I can find are...well extremely open to interpretation. Here's the best two I could find:

Ganondorf 1 (http://www.zeldauniverse.net/images/games/oot/bosses/ganondorf.png)
Ganondorf 2 (http://images.wikia.com/zelda/images/7/79/Ganondorf_%26_Horse_%28Ocarina_of_Time%29.png)
first...it's mostly just a compilation of different patterns. Especially in the leg region. Anyone have a better ref pic?

Something to keep in mind here is that Ganondorf's appearance in OoT is different pre- and post-time jump. The image of him in the red cape is from after the time jump while the image of him on the horse is from before. You might find better reference pics of Ganondorf from Super Smash Bros. Melee, which is pretty much a more detailed version of the pre-time jump version.

Yeah, I noticed they were different. Since I can't figure out what the post time jump costume actually is I guess we're going with the pre-time jump one. I'll take a look into the Smash Bros. refs, thanks!

Tne Post-7 years outfit is actually the same as the pre-time jump, just with the cape and longer hair. If you get the pre-jump outfit down, post jump won't be too much further.

Well, using the Brawl (http://www.creativeuncut.com/gallery-02/art/oot-ganon.gif) art for clearer reference, my problem is now finding the right materials. The black shoulder covering and his brown torso suit seem to be form fitted leather (which I don't have the skills to pull off.) I figure I could get away with pleather for the torso bit, but the shoulder piece may be tougher. It looks like it should flex with his body...but still needs to remain shaped. Anyone know how that kind of look could be accomplished?

Brawl artwork is the Twilight Princess Ganondorf (your link didn't work so I'm not sure what you linked).

Melee is what you want for the Ocarina version. A good reference can be found here: http://bestgamewallpapers.com/files/super-smash-bros-melee/characters.jpg

Here are a few drawn (not 3D renderings) of Ganondorf:

i did the costume a few years ago, heres a link to check it out. http://www.cosplay.com/costume/88658/

i tried a few different materials until i realized vegetable tanned leather is the best route to go, I used a 13-14 ounce saddle skirting, anything thinner may not keep the proper stiffness.
the knee pads gave me a lot of headache too.
