Costume-Con's theme for next year is "Sands of Time", and the social is Wild Wild West themed, so we are planning on being Jim and Arte from The Wild Wild West.

These are costumes we've wanted to do for a while, and the show has a BEAUTIFUL wardrobe (I find myself drooling over the girls' dresses constantly... and over the cutaway coats Arte wears). We're even considering doing a panel on the costumes of the show at Costume-Con.

Here was my first attempt at a femme Jim (I'm crossplaying as him for Costume-Con): http://www.cosplay.com/costume/375985/

Anyone else thought of doing Wild Wild West stuff? I would love to see someone do Emma Valentine sometime! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=avjKp1nOk80

Did this Dr. Arliss Loveless at the Calgary Comic & Entertainment Expo (CCEE 2011)

Had a blast and Munitia for backup.

Oh, look! People replied! Our panel is approved for Costume-Con, so if anyone is out in Phoenix the weekend of May 11-14, check it out! I finished Artie's waistcoat this week, and I have everything cut out for both suits. Working on Jim's waistcoat tomorrow.

Update with photos of the completed costumes:

Jim - http://www.cosplay.com/costume/428208/

Artie - http://www.cosplay.com/costume/428202/

We've now worn these to three conventions where they've gone over pretty well. I built a pocket large enough in my jacket to blast the WWW theme from a tiny speaker.
