View Full Version : Location Ideas for a fairy?

Okay, I am almost done with an Ainsel cosplay from the manga Fairy Cube and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on appearing tiny (fairy sized) in photos. I was planning on taking some photos in the woods, but that wouldn't really help me look small.

I am very inspired by Ryoko-demon's Crysta cosplay:

If anyone has any similar ideas on looking fairy sized without photoshop effects I would be so thankful. Here is the reference of the character:

A lake, maybe? There's usually lots of trees beside a lake, and the water can add the magic...

Maybe you can find an area with really tall grass?

I can't think of anything that doesn't include photoshop besides building a set of scale replicas. Creative photoshopping might be your best bet.

Optical illusion / trick perspective? While you are probably better off photoshopping, here is something else to think about.
It's easiest to make something appear larger than it really is. But the basic technique to make something/someone appear smaller is to use a wide angle lens and have the subject stand farther back in the scene (with other objects closer). It's best if careful attention is paid to every object or part of the scene in order to minimize anything that looks 'wrong' or 'gives away' the illusion.
