I know that the steampunk fashion is a great source of passion and inspiration for many of us, but man does finding good steampunk stuff take effort! Either we search through second hand stores for modifiable garments, or we look online for Victorian like finds. It sure is a pleasant surprise when we randomly stumble across some nice steampunk find when we least expect it! A few days ago, I was cleaning up around the house and I found these AWESOME sun glasses! I think they're very victorian (but a bit crooked lol). I don't know what I'd wear it with, but these glasses certainly inspire me.

My question to you guys is, have you ever stumbled across some random nice steampunk find when you've least expected it?

Claire's, of all places, is currently selling several steampunk-esque pieces of jewelry, including gear earrings and a working pocket/pendant watch (a bit chincy but really not bad if you're not staring at it really closely. I also found a steampunk dragonfly pin in a random tourist store in a small town once.

My brother's girlfriend actually bought me a pair of the earrings from Claire's for my birthday. They are pretty cool and I get compliments on them all the time.

I want the steampunk-ish owl watch necklace from Claire's, but I'm not paying $12 for something that small.

I've seen the steampunk jewelry at Claire's, I wanted them too. I really liked how this one necklace had moving parts in it <3

Why did you have to show me that? Now my lunch money is going to jewelery. xD

I've seen a whole lot of SP come into fashion lately. Both at Claire's and at For Love. It makes me happy that the genre is becoming more accessible lol

Wal-mart has some vintage-esque jewlery that works wonders. The recycling center always has some great stuff and it's always free!

Mmhmm. They have an owl watch necklace that I like more than the one at Claire's, and it's much cheaper.

TJ Maxx has some very steamy inspired jewelry lately. At least locally. I was a tad suprised but its gorgeous stuff. Bit pricey tho

I found this watch when browsing yugster.com one day, in their watch section, got it on a huge discount. Kind of a current looking watch with a dash of steam, first watch I've ever actually spent good money on lol. Wearing it right now actually :)
