I'm having the hardest time finding the right type of fabric. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look?

Depends a bit on the kind of Marie Antoinette outfit you've got in mind. Court robe, chemise a la reine, something from the recent movie? Let's have some details.

It's my own design, but it's similar to some of the dresses from the movie.
I also really like this person's dress - http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1112148/ -, and my design is pretty similar.

Oh goodness, I say taffeta all the way. Especially shot taffeta. Silk ideally, but a lot of polyester taffetas are nearly as good as the real thing. I get mine from www.fabric.com. They tend to get a lot of limited-quantity factory seconds and clearouts though, so if you see something you love you'd better get enough of it to finish the project without reordering.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, but I've been having a hard time finding the right one.. =/
I'll try fabric.com though. Thanks!
