View Full Version : corset necessary for Black Cat costume?

Almost all of the costumers I've seen doing Black Cat have been wearing corsets. Some of the reference pictures I have, though, don't show Black Cat actually wearing one. Is this just one of those unspoken things that cosplayers do? Do I HAVE to wear one in order to look like her?

Doubtful. Possibly manny of them wear one to pull of Felicia's figure?

You don't have to. Bodysuits are a bit plain, visually, and also really unforgiving, and Black Cat has va-voom that most people do not. A corset can solve all of these problems. Totally optional though.

A body-shaper can work just as well and it's virtually undetectable.

I don't know why some people do the corset, I personally find it stupid. Unless I missed some point comics where the character actually wore one (which is possible), but it's unnecessary. Tight, black body suit and stark, white fur trim is already eye-catching, not to mention, identifiable enough.

Yeah it's definitely not necessary or accurate but the second time I wore Black Cat, I have to admit.. I did it -_-
It made me look way more curvy and like twenty pounds thinner.. and skanked me up a bit too lol.
All in all though, not necessary :3
