I'm doing this variation of Human!Wheatley(left side, normal wheats) (http://forte-girl7.deviantart.com/art/Portal-Wheatley-Reference-210372140) and I'm having some trouble figuring out how to do the handlebars, or rather I have no clue what I should use to make them.

I was hoping to maybe make them jointed at the backplate so that I could take it off easily at will, but I'm not sure that will work because of what I constructed it out of. Here's what I have. (http://setzytb.deviantart.com/art/Core-pack-WIP-2-257739267)

It's made of expanding foam, paper mache and tape layers, with paper clay coating the top. I should have waited and planned the handlebars with it, but I jump the gun in excitement sometimes and got to work instantly. I can still carve away sections to add the bars if I have to though. I still have to finish filling up holds from the carving and sand it down anyway. Once everything is all done though(as in, whenever I figure out how to do the handlebars), I'll probably add a Friendly Plastic layer for added strength.

So long winded story short: Does anyone have any suggestions for what I should use to make the handlebars and if it's possible to make them bend as otherwise I'm not sure how I can get it on/off easy as well as making it form fitting around my body.
