i know there's some caves up by Mountain's Edge and they're near an area alot of people like to go shoot, so it'd be littered with bullet shells which might add to the Boderlands theme

Hat’s off. Well done, as we know that “hard work always pays off”, after a long struggle with sincere effort it’s done.

The neighborhoods around downtown Vegas (a little east of the Stratosphere) has a "ghetto" look to it, with old buildings, cracked sidewalks, and a 'destroyed' kind of feel to it. Mt. Charleston (just an hour away) is great for any woods/foresty pics.

Also, I'm not familiar with Borderlands, but if you need any winter/city areas, the Venetian and Palazzo are doing a "Winter in Venice" monthlong event. They'll be decorating the entire two casinos (generally great for Steampunk/Victorian settings) and giving them a very wintery feel.

Good luck!

Red Rock Canyon will give you a nice desert theme which will work nicely for Borderlands and MGS.

I would say Red Rock too. If you don't mind a drive the ghost town of Rhyolite near Beatty NV (a couple hours) or Ash Meadows on the CA/NV border between Pahrump and Death Valley are cool places. Hoover Dam would make a cool location too.
