View Full Version : All over my suit!

So i'm currently working on a Nick cosplay. As i am waiting for my jacket to get back from being altered I need to get some information.

I need to dirty up my white suit and need tips/ideas on how to do it. It's mainly the cuffs of the jacket and pants i want to stain to make it look like grime, mud and blood.
By the way the fabric is polyester.
Thank you so much for the help :toothy:

My friend went to her basement and pretty much "cleaned" all the pipes with her suit! xD It looked quite good but was a bit pale for photos. And would probably wash out if she ever washed the suit, but that I'm not sure.

A lot of people are suggesting playing with dogs, but well for that you need a dog. xD;

Maybe you could try with charcoal too, but that might not stick to the fabric permanently.

For pants: Water balloons + fake blood, put on ground, step on. Dip hand in fake blood and flail near clothing, or use slashing motion. That's all I got as far as blood goes. For dirt u could just go outside and roll around for a bit :D

For dirt, I would say just find a dry, dusty patch of land and roll around on the ground in it. That will get it dusted up without big dark stains (like you would get if it was muddy/wet).
For blood... do you want realistic dried blood, or red blood?

For grime I found the inside of a car hubcap to work perfectly when I weathered my props and shirt for Louis. I found it to exceed my expectations... plus it won't just rub off, either.
