View Full Version : Zelda in Ganon's prison cell.

I was doing a shoot with a friend this afternoon and here are a couple shots I want an opinion on. I found a large fireplace in an outdoor type building that looked like it could be a dungeon cell.

For all these images, I had a soft box with and SB-900 off camera to camera right. Flash compensation was -.7 and I did some lightroom adjustments to the overall exposure.

This first image, the shutter speed was 1/60 - hence the shadow

These next two, I dragged the shutter to 1/25 - which allowed enough ambient light to effectively eliminate the shadow.

Do you think the shadow works better (makes it more interesting) or not? Also, any other tips would be nice as well.

Oh come on. You know Ganon totally locked her in a fancy tower and spoiled her :P

Great concept. I like the contrast between the gown and the setting.

I like the 2nd picture more, where there's a slight shadow.

The first picture the shadow takes away from the main point of the picture (you) the second gives emphasis on the darkness but not so much we don't see you last and the third one doesn't look like the main point of the picture is you its the fireplace. I agree with Fire the second one looks the best.
