I'm not sure where to start with this helmet. I've never really worked on full props before or armor for that matter. I just want it to look half decent, and not complete shit. I'm pretty OCD about my cosplay's and yeah. If someone could forward me to a tutorial that'd be very helpful.

Heres some reference pics:

I'd reccomend getting a motorcycle helmet to use as a base, then make the crest with Apoxie sculpt

It would require too much adjustment of the motorcycle helmet to fit my needs in the end i'd be doing more work than creating the helmet myself I think.

Instead of a motorcycle helmet, how about an old football helmet? Take off the grill from the front and you've got a helmet that extends to cover the back of the head and ears, but still has an open face, like Falcon's. Then, just worry about the visor and crest.

If you search on instructables, there's a tutorial on making a cardboard Boba Fett helmet. I think if you used the basic shape (cylinder with a dome on top) you could also go that route.
