Wig commsioners how long does it take you on adverge to do a wig for someone? like for example a shizuo heiwajima wig from duararara?

im commisioned a commisioner on here for one , she said 4-8 weeks. i contacted late dec and she got the base wig on jan 5. i talked to her a few times after that and then on Feb8 or 9 i think she said she was almost done. i havent heard from her since then im kinda getting worried. has it been more than 8 weeks. i also tried contacting her a few times to ask the status on here , on da , esty.

:/

honestly, theres not a lot you CAN do.since its WAY ast the time where you can file a claim, the only thing to do is hope. i mean you could contact the police, but honestly, they probably wont do anything. they never do. your only choice is to contact another commissioner or try it yourself. sorry to be a downer, but theres nothing else to really do..

As a wig commissioner, I can say that eight weeks isn't exactly that long to wait. Especially if you are wanting a wig from eBay that takes a month to arrive. I get my wigs from an American company and it takes a week at the absolute least. Then, since I have a life outside of commissioning [school and the such] it can take me anywhere from a week to two weeks to style it. While Shizuo's style doesn't exactly look too complicated, there's a lot of detail work to it if they're doing the spikes in a way I'm thinking. I do hope that with all that time, that you have an amazing wig, though! :D

Edit: As for what you should do at this point? If they're ignoring your pm's, file a PayPal dispute [I'm not sure how long those are valid for]. If not, leave them a review here on your experience.

yes it should take that long when your counting the time to get the base wig. but OP said that the commissioner recieved the base wig on jan 5th. so AFTER recieving the wig, its been over 2 months. theres NO reason it shouldnt be done. you said even with a life outside commissioning, like work and school and such, it would only take a week - 2 weeks, not 2 months.

As a wig commissioner, or any commission really, there should be a due date and needs to be adhered to.

You should have it shipped to you by now. There's no good reason not to have it done except for the worst reasons possible. I mean, I have 3 jobs, an 18 month old, and a TINY social life and I get wigs done (even with surgery and school added in I got things done). Life does throw surprises, but talking to people instead of hiding is always the best option.

Do you have their address or phone number?

Im kinda new to the forums here but I would like to know some good wig commissioners and links to them.

These are the wigs I would like to have done for myself.

email wont work... I have the same problem with her. I ordered mine in Feb. she replied 2 weeks later saying she got my base wig in and I haven't heard from her. I emailed her saying that if she doesn't reply to my email then I will report her to etsy which will cause her shop to be closed until the issue is resolved. if you find out anything let me know cause i'm freaking out myself since I need the wig for Otakon in July.

I got my wig from her. But , it did take some pestering and emailing both her emails that are listed on her esty. She claimed that she had had computer problems. The wig is awsome though. i hope you get your wig in time.

This needs to be placed in the marketplace forum, not here dear.

As for the actual topic.

First off, it is a long time for a wig but I do know a couple commissioners that use all the time they are given to produce something quality. Everyone works at different paces, so honestly I don't think that's a fair judgement. If you made a due date and they passed it, that's a different story. That's why it's always safe to have a date you need it buy even though you just want the item for whenever.

For the person who has not received their wig: not getting into contact with you is a red flag though. You can try Paypal but it sounds like it's been over the 45 days. If you used a card, maybe your bank?

Of course the police are not going to do anything, especially if it's over state lines. You'd need to talk about lawsuits but if it's not a lot of money, I wouldn't even try that. I would keep trying different methods of getting in contact, possibly filing with the BBB if they have a business, write a review in the meantime. Otherwise, if it was under a hundred, well, lesson learned right?
