Hey peoples how it's going =]

This year for Anime North, I want to go as Jesse Anderson from Yugioh GX.

I have black pants that I can use, and I can improvise on the shirt as well.

But what im sort of stuck on, is how I can make out Jesse's vest/collar... it looks simple enough but I want some sort of helpful tips/hints before I start it ^^

Here's the outfit (although this from a cosplay site where you can order the costume):

Now that I mention that, I know I can order it but I want to make myself so I can have fun with my cosplay.

Any help would be awesome ^^

Google for a Vest Pattern and then add the top part of his vest. That should help you make his and if you don't want to buy the pattern, make it out of newspaper.

Ah truly sorry for the late reply.

Yes, that pattern could work in this situation and Yes I mean use newspaper for practice drifting the pattern and creating the vest. You can also buy cheap muslin fabric and see how the vest looks like before wasting on your good fabic. Muslin cost like 2$ or less I'm not sure.
