Hello Everyone! Here we are to share our most recent project. My partner DonrRobert and I made an Infested Kerrigan costume and we launched it last March 3 at the 5th Philippine Cosplay Convention.

This has been a planned project but because we didn't know where & how to start yet we just kept it aside. We just decided to go for it this year since we've already done a few research & we've financially prepared ourselves HAHA.

We actually tried to challenge ourselves with the making of the Infested Kerrigan from Starcraft. We've been planning this since last year but due to lack of time we haven't done it. Also, we were still in the process of our research & development last year so it was premature to dive into the pit. lol.

We also had to be financially prepared because the procedure we were planning will cost more than what we usually do. *throws wallet away. no need for that anymore. T_T. HA HA.

We molded the body using rubber latex. This is usually used in the US and here mostly for movie/TV production. It's a bit costly to do because it entails a tedious, long process. And it would require skills at least to execute.

The other parts - arms, thigh, legs were done by rubber, with molded clay as detail then coated with fiberglass.

The wings were by pvc, heat-molded to shape and coated with fiberglass for support & durability.

The base that supports the bone wings is fiberglass with welded metal brace. and the bones are attached via screw on my back.

After we have successfully pulled the rubber latex cast from its fg mold, it was glued directly to the body suit.

The hairs were done through foam, coated with latex and attached to a base cap and umbrella framing for support.

We're planning to do latex gloves which didn't get finished because we still need to cast my right hand.

My shoes are temporary also as we will still be casting my feet. Had to improvise the night before since we didn't get to finish it.

The wings open manually for now but we're planning to mechanize it.

All in all, the costume is 90% done. But we still have to do a lot more work to make it come the way we really want it to. Soon enough. hehe.

Level Up Team DRI & CMD. Really proud of this. Special thanks to Cyback for helping us.

Luckily, it won me the Best Female award. So happy & proud.

Here are the photos. I will post the WIP pics also.
