It's a contest..? o.o whoa... well... too bad none of my costumes are even close to ready and it's in two days... ;.; I MIGHT be able to get together an Ayaka Usami (Gravitation) outfit in two days... but it wouldn't be good enough to win anything XD but it'd still be fun to cosplay at Planet Neo!

Yup! You don't have to compete if you don't want to, but might as well try, right? I hope people show up. The last AZ cosplay event had like TWO cosplayers. X_X;

Yeah!! ^^ Might as well!! and... TWO??! ;.; That's so sad!! There should be more!!! ^^; I live right by the paradise valley Atomic Comics and when they had their Back to School Animefest there were cosplayers there ^^v! A Sango, and a Sasuke.... and erm... well they were the only ones I saw or really remember... but I didn't get there until like 8pm... so there might've been more... >>; Just out of curiousity.. are you gonna cosplay there? (probably a stupid question XD)

Yup! At Mesa there was an Ed and somebody else I think. I'm friends with the guy who runs the fests so I just got the info from him after I couldn't go. There were a lot of people at Mesa and PV for the Halloween event (Is that what you went to? If so, I was there!), but then again they were giving out cash prizes then so a lot more people showed up. I'm planning on going to Planet Neo this weekend as Dejiko from Digi Charat.

Did anybody else go to the Planet Neo event? There were a lot of people there, but I almost found it to be a waste. You had to pay $4 to get in and even though that isn't much, nobody had mentioned that earlier which I felt was kinda' false advertising. The judging system seemed unfair too since everybody would just vote for themselves, friends or a character they liked instead of having some Planet Neo employees judge on actual craftsmanship. Then they only give away one prize for only $25? They made at least a couple hundred dollars on people getting in alone, not to mention all the stuff people were buying in there. All in all it seemed kinda' lame to me and I just ended up with a headache from the screaming fangirls...

I agree... They never said ANYTHING about paying $4, so I dunno what their deal is.. but it's not cool >O and err... *coughs* I only screamed once or twice.. >>; uh, but I think both times it was just about Gravitation... o.o;*coughs again* yeah.. but whoever the girl in the Ryuichi costume was... she certainly sang alot... o.O; and... ;.; they should've waited for everyone to get a chance to sing karaoke before they closed.. >.<; it only would've been a few minutes!!! *wanted to sing!!* Planet Neo's stuff is kinda overpriced too... --;

waiit a second... You were Dejiko? *just read that post* lol.. right after we got there, my friend yelled "Yo Dejiko!" at you.. XD

edit: And I wasn't at the Halloween one... cuz my friend's birthday is Halloween, and we spent it (some call it trick or treating.. I like to call it...) "mooching" candy off of complete strangers who welcomingly open their doors to random people and give them food...

"Planet Neo's stuff is kinda overpriced too... "

Yeah, it always has been. My brother bought me a Kenshin doll from them that they told us was so rare and they only had ONE for sale, yet the day after he bought it they had another one for sale and we found it at a con for 1/3 of the price it was at Planet Neo. That's when we stopped going there (about five years ago). I had to pay $8 for my brother and myself to get in and that was pretty much all I had on me. Could've bought myself a box of pocky or a pin or something istead. :P LOL I wasn't going to bring more to be tempted to buy their overpriced stuff. Yeah, I was Dejiko. Oh and I was only at the Halloween AC event, but it wasn't on Halloween. It was at the end of October.

Er...sorry, this is jennekohan. ^^; My comp is messed so I'm using my brother's. LOL :thumbsup:

Lol, ok... well I'm lucky.. I always spend my money right away when I see something I like... x.X; But I was distracted by all the socializing so I was fine, XD I didn't buy a thing!! Not even Pocky!!! (Only because someone was giving me some >>)

I was thinking about going but I had to work. As to Planet Neo, I also find their stuff is expensive. Since all I really buy is Anime DVDs, I get most of mine at DVD Planet.

I think some members of my anime club from DeVry may have gone but I haven't checked.
