US: "Delta Dawn" by Helen Reddy. Which *might* be disco, I don't even know.
UK: "Young Love" by Donny Osmond.

Why yes, I *am* a bit old, thank you. Since the site goes on to suggest that your "life's theme song" is the song #1 on one's 18th birthday, we go on to...

US: "The Promise of a New Day" by Paula Abdul, or
UK: "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You" by Bryan Adams, which I'm not saying is my LEAST favorite song in the universe of anything, but it's certainly not exactly on my top ten either.

Pitiful.

Going by the 18th birthday thing:

the U.K. No.1 on the 23rd November 1994 was... Baby Come Back by

US - I Shot the Sheriff by Eric Clapton

Well, at least Eric Clapton's kind of cool... :/

EDIT:

On my 18th birthday we have...
US - End of the Road by Bozy II Men
UK - Rhythm Is A Dancer by Snap

Great, so my life's theme is "the end of the road" - how optimistic.

That's awesome! I just grabbed Ebony and Ivory off Kazaa this week because I realized I didn't have it and I wanted to hear it. It's a good song.

As for Adam Ant, well, he just plain rules! I am completely jealous of your cool songs. I have always been a big fan of Adam Ant in particular. Sadly, the former sex symbol fell on rough times after the glory days of 80's synth-pop and back in August I read a disturbing article about him being arrested in a London pub for threatening patrons with a strarting pistol (as in track and field starting pistol) after they made fun of the cowboy clothes he was wearing. Looks like the poor guy just can't let go of the past. Maybe he should tour again. I'd buy a ticket. I'd probably be able to get really good seats too. :)

Anyway, here's the article if anyone wants to read it. It's hilarious in a tragic kind of way.
