AND

10. All "commission" ads must be cosplay-related.

they are little props im not hurting you am i?

JasonTerror
04-20-2012, 04:59 PM
no, i didnt say it was hurting anyone, im telling you because those are the rules. and they are not little props, they are in a way drawings. now, if character WORE them as part of an outfit or USED them as a prop in an anime or game or show or whatever, i can see where this would be allowed, but these are just for people to have in their homes or wherever, and are not related to cosplay in any way. these are basically like art commissions (in fact thats exactly what they are) and those commissions are not allowed. things like this are WHY the marketplace is being redone

I really wish non-cosplay related items were still allowed to be posted in the marketplace again. I feel like as long as it relates to anime in general (video games, dvd's, manga, ect), then it should be allowed. Nonetheless, rules are rules!

honestly i think they should too, i had things non cosplay for sale, i had games and anime and other items for sale, but just cuz someone thinks they should belong isnt a reason to break the sites rules.

no, they did not change it to things that can be commissioned. this person is still posting to take commissions for ART, not cosplay..

I cannot see the pictures... Something wrong with my computer, probably, but she did say that it can be used for "cosplay needs". Is it some sort of painting? Because I know it's definitely needed in making cosplay costumes. There are patterns on the costume that has to be painted with acrylic.

If I'm wrong.....nvm :P

where in cosplay do you use door hangers? nowhere! thats where!
if you can tell me where bleach, naruto, etc. door hangers are used in cosplay, then id be inclined to believe you, but y i know you cant. doesnt ANYONE read the rules? you say shes not breaking any rules, but im sure that you havent read them.

If she were making signs that were relevant to the character you were cosplaying as, that you take to the convention with you, then that would be fine. But she is making 'Do Not Disturb' door hangers, for your personal use at home. That is what the term 'Non-Cosplay Items' are for.

When the Marketplace got disabled, it was a strict rule that only cosplay items are to be sold. They used to be allowed, but probably aren't going to be anymore.

& Even though I bought one of these from her just out of my sheer affection for Sasuke Uchiha (my whole room is Sasuke @^@;; ), still.

You shouldn't call it what you did, rules are rules. :/

I realize that, and those are okay, but the selling of ANY non-cosplay related items are not allowed. To fix this, she should take out the part about the Do Not Disturb signs.

yazwriter13

i see that would be fine i guess but commissions is art too

Ninbri
04-26-2012, 05:08 PM
Yes, but art is not cosplay.
Unless your actually, physically going to be wearing it or taking it to the convention with you, it's categorized as non-cosplay related.
Cosplay-related is an outfit, wigs, props.

You obviously haven't read the rules.
Read the rules or stop posting and trying to act cute, please..?

JasonTerror
04-26-2012, 06:25 PM
Ok you don't seem to grasp that yes all cosplay is art, but no, not all art is cosplay related. Do not disturb signs are not cosplay. A roxas holding an I love Axel sign to carry around is. See the difference
