Well...my sis has decided to crossplay Reiji Takatori from Weiss Kreuz. We think it'll be kinda funny but we have a problem. The hair! My sis has bright red, shoulder length hair and Takatori has short grey hair and these spikey sideburn thingies. I'm thinking the best thing to do with her hair is pull it back and use some of the grey spray stuff on it but that might not work. Any advice on this character about the hair or anything else for that matter would be greatly appreciated! Thankies! :D

I reccomend getting a wig. The spray isn't that effective, especially if it's a light color going over a dark. I used it to turn a friend's hair from black to white for a Vicious (Cowboy Bebop) costume. It's messy, it took about 4 cans, and once it dried it started flaking off. It looked like really bad dandruff, but thankfully didn't stain his costume. If it gets wet (rain, sweat) it will run and stain.

There's plenty of links for wig shops in wig forum, but here's a few:

Her hair isn't dark. It's a light red color...I'll attach a picture.

If you don't want to buy a wig, you basically have these options:

1. Do what you said and put her hair back, use grey spray hair dye, and style bangs.
2. Not style the hair at all, which will take away from the costume a lot seeing your sisters hairstyle is very different according to the character shes cosplaying.
3. I doubt she'd want to do this, but get her hair cut, dyed, and styled like the characters. ^^;

Yeah, since we're on a budget I'll probably do the first thing to her hair. She would probably rather die than get it cut that short though! ^_^

Yeah, and I wouldn't suggest cutting beautiful hair like that super short. (Wait, didn't I suggest that in my last post? @_o;;; XD)

Trust me, geeet the wig. I have yet to see soemone accomplish a good silver or white with bleaches, spray ins, temporary dye, nothing. It is pretty common for the wig to be the most costly part of costuming, but in my opinion, it's so worth it.

Well, I'll keep looking arouond for a good wig and maybe we'll do that. It does sound like it's worth it.
