Please note that there have been claims by a disreputable commissioner, supposedly based in Canada, specifically Quebec. This commissioner claims “Shipping ANYWHERE outside Canada can take anywhere from a few days to two months.” This claim is patently untrue.
Canada Post, the postal service which is used throughout Canada is responsible for mail delivery locally, nationally, and internationally. Though postal delivery rates both inside and outside Canada are high, the service is reputable and very dependable.
As a commissioner who uses this service quite regularly, my packages are delivered within 4-5 business days. Delivery confirmation and tracking, are also factored into this service.
The only problem I have ever had with delivery from Canada, was when I have used the priority delivery service Purolator Courier, in order to get a next day delivery to a client.
Using a Canadian commissioner, should not be discounted, because of misinformation regarding the Canadian postal delivery service.

I just wanted to add that I felt this thread was necessary as a topic and source of information. As someone who works with and makes things for people both in my own country and internationally, I feel that Canadians are being poorly represented, and misrepresented as unreliable, when in fact, that is far from the case.

Being a commissioner in the US, I've had packages take a month to deliver to residence in Canada from the USA. The estimated delivery of the number of packages that I have sent (with the "fastest" shipping) is 2-3 weeks.
I know this is the other side of the coin, I just thought I'd post it since I haven't had any constant results with delivering to Canada in 10 years.
On a side note, shipping to England has become a pain for me. :(

I've shipped to Canada quite often, large stuff, small stuff, heavy stuff to light stuff.
Mine have always been about a week and a half :x but that's just my experience.
As far as the UK goes man it's take about sometimes anywhere from 1-2 month :x

I'd Just like to add that I live in Canada and have bought things from the USA and its ALWAYS gotten here in a week to 10 days ( depending on if there was a holiday ) Im sick and tired of people claming to have problems with Canada. I have NEVER had a problem getting things. And When I DONT get them its cause I was scammed.

I have to say, I have gotten 3 different things from users onhere in Canada, and I also have gotten them un under 2 weeks. 1 week exactly was the fastest of the 3 and I think 10 or 11 days was the slowest..

My experience has been about 2 weeks as well to receive packages from Canada. However, there was an issue one time with the Canada post when it went on strike in 2011, so it took about a month to receive my item then. Just my personal experience.

Exactly right. Regular mail to the US is generally expected around 2 weeks or less, and for rush orders, as I said, it can be as quick as 3-4 days (not even 4-5 as I first said - my mistake). I particularly favour that option, as Paypal seller protection eligibility calls for delivery confirmation, which is included in the 4 day delivery. Some international (UK, other overseas locations) shipping doesn't have the confirmation included at a reasonable rate for most people, so that can be about 4-6 weeks (with less than 2 weeks still an option if required/desired). I have shipped from Canada to Sweden with the package meant to arrive in 4-6 weeks, and actually getting there in less than 2.
In terms of receiving from the States, anywhere from 10 business days to a few weeks has been my experience.

Here is a break down as I ship alot of things to the US.
Air Mail (not tracking) 2-3 weeks this is the cheapest shipping method I use.Price starts at around $9 and goes up to $16 by weight(I use this when shipping wigs)
Expodite Mail international (with track) within a work week. Price starts at $21 with tax in Ontario and goes up by weight.
To have tracking from Canada is basically an extra $10+.
When shipping stuff to Canada keep in mine that Canada Post will take up to a week to sort package at the board, to flag anything over $20 CAN regardless if it's marked as a gift or not, for customs, duty, services and specialist taxes. This usually end up with a fee close to 50% the original marked value of the item.
So whatever range USPS says about shipping add another week to that.
Note: US customs take anything under $100 before it starts adding duties or Taxes to it coming into the country.
Another service to avoid is UPS land transit, they have ridiculous hidden "Service fees" that can cos the Canadian recipient some more then the items was worth. I pissed with them and any seller that uses them.

It's not the tracking so much as the delivery confirmation. They can give you tracking on even the lower tier shipping methods. And that's still a matter of price variance, not delivery time. The whole thing about the actual price of shipping from Canada comes down to size, weight, and which part of the country it's coming from - the delivery times for each shipping method are constant across the country.

I recently had a customer who requested I ship their costume via UPS, despite the assurances. They said they'd had some issues before, which as I said, I can't really speak to as all my Canada Post experiences have been quite good. But, UPS wasn't bad this time either, and the price wasn't too bad - on this item, at least.
