Dear cosplay.com

Hello I an inspiring cosplayer and I am hoping to cosplay the pyro. The version that I would most like to do is the “The_Fanciest_Of_Pants”. Though I have already run into a few problems and I was hoping that the fine cosplayers here could help me with my problems.

1.) I have no idea where to get a patter like this( or one close enough to modify). I have tried most patter stores and even a few adult stores.
2.) What is the best the fabric to chose. My first choice is using vile, however I can foresee this causing problems with heat stroke and other such things. As well as vile being rather pricey.
3.) The mask itself is not hard to find. Although I can't seem to fine the proper attachments that I would need, or know of a way to make them if they do not exist.
4.) On the account of the gloves I have been experimenting with a few different pants, with little success. Acrylic, rubber, and spry paints all crack within hours. I have been considering air brushing, but that can be a bit pricey and seeing how this project is already setting bake quit a bit I would like to know if it is wroth the money. There is also always the option of taking an existing pair of gloves and modifying them.

Hope you can help

Hey there, I'm a Pyro cosplayer myself so I hope I can help.
-I do crossplay so I use vinyl for my suit but since you want to do the The Fanciest Of Pants I'm not sure what you would use. If you want a skin tight style suit, I recommend you simply buy a red morph suit, either in normal style or latex depending on your preference.
-For the mask, I completely gutted mine and made a new front piece along with the side piece because their design of the attachments don't really exist.
-The gloves are pretty easy, buy a pair of yellow kitchen dish washing gloves and cut off the fingers and glue them over the fingers of black rubber gloves. I recommend using PVA glue to do so because it's flexible when it's dry so they won't crack and fall off.

I hope this helps in some way. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Hope this isn't too much of a late reply, but anyway I thought I might be able to help. I'm currently working on a pyro costume as well. It's not really for cosplay considering I can't drive yet and I live in a small town, it's for Halloween. Mine's not done yet but I have a picture of what I've done so far. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2qi8u39&s=5
I can't be much help with the whole suit thing. But on ebay there are good vendors for black gp-5 gas masks. Might take a while to get to you I ordered mine from Lithuania and living in California it took a while. Well this is my first post ever I probably didn't even help but hey I hope you have fun with your costume.

I like your Pyro so far, man. Seems like the Lollichop is becoming very popular among Pyros eh? Just add the class icons on your arms and I think you've got it!

As for the mask, most of them I see are white (Black ones are hard to come by and expensive) but a little bit of plastidip is vital (Spray paint will chip away). Maybe tint the lenses a bit.
