I've been binge-watching Futurama with my girlfriend lately, and now I'm considering cosplaying Leela. There's one major hang-up for me, though: her big singular eye. I haven't seen anyone do it in a particularly compelling manner thus far, but I can't really think of how to do it better myself. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I saw some folks at Dragon*Con last year that had taken a fine white plastic mesh and fabricated something that they wore like a blindfold. They drew the pupil on and were able to see out of it easily. It seemed to work quite well for them and looked good.

I saw that in photos and it worked out really well!

I know the question has been answered but I don't feel like creating a new thread for Futurama cosplay.

I recently put together a quick fem!Fry (http://www.cosplay.com/photo/3362956/) and had a lot of fun. A con friend of mine does Zapp and I'm trying to find a photo of together. I really should have had someone take one with my camera.

Anyway, I found a blog post (http://knowledgehound.com/khhow2s/make-leela-costume.htm) about ways to do Leela. The outfit I'm really interested in is her German one from "Fun on the Bun."

Bumping this thread because I'm thinking of a lot of Leela cosplays.

I made her eye (http://www.cosplay.com/photo/3445540/) using a mask and gluing white tight material over it. I can't see out of it so I plan to only have it over my eyes for photos. EpicCosplay also has a purple ponytail wig (http://www.epiccosplay.com/purple-black-ponytail-cosplay-wig.html) that will work great although I should probably trim the long pieces that aren't in the ponytail.

For outfits first I'm going to do is Feminsta from Into the Wild Green Yonder (http://s54.photobucket.com/user/Sango1115/media/futuramaintothewildgreenpeliculalatinovideocomplet ayoutubeblogxd_zpsfd7ee9c2.jpg.html?sort=3&o=24). I still want to do the Oktoberfest outfit but I'll be more inclined if I find someone to be Neanderthal Fry.
