Hey y'all, it's my first time posting on this site, and I'm going to a convention dressed as this Steampunk video game char and having the hardest time finding a white top to go under my corset!!! It's just a tank top, but I cannot find any vendors, I'm about to add ruffles to a wife beater and call it a day. Even if you link me a cotton Target shirt I will be happy, with all the time and money I'm burning on this outfit, I would appreciate a cheap (and easy) fix! My normal Victorian and Medieval chemises are all long sleeve and crazy huge, not used to the short shorts! But excited to try new things!!! Thanks in advance! xx

Do you have some more photos of the top??

I would say honestly the tank with some lace would give you the best fitted effect.
Target sells a Mossimo black tank that is SUPER comfy and I have worn it under my corset a few times when I forgot another top >__>;;;

As for the shorts there is no harm in wearing a set of dance tights under them if you are feeling a wee bit awkward with them ^__^

I work at Target and the Mossimo Black tanks are awesome! I wear one of those or the Mossimo Supply Co. ones under my corsets (though I'm usually layering them under a costume and they aren't seen). I think if you bought just a basic tank and added a little lace around the edge, it would work out decently. That top looks very fitted and you would get that best with a tank top with some stretch. Also, her top looks more off white or almost tan. I know in the Mossimo Black tanks there is one that is a similar color, I think the color is considered Oatmeal, and it would look pretty close to your reference picture.
