View Full Version : Can't Find a Jacket

My group, seven of us, are planning an Ouran cosplay but are having trouble finding the jackets for cheap and from a reliable source. We don't want to pay over $70 for them, and all the sites that have them for said price have terrible reviews.
I would be willing to just buy a similar blazer and sew on the patch, but I can't find anything accurate enough.
Anyone know a good site to buy a jacket from? We JUST need the jackets and ties for under $70. Thanks so much~

I found one that would have been perfect at a second hand store, when i got home and put it on it looked like i was wearing a coat. It would have been fine if the sleeves where a bit shorter.

I got my entire Ouran cosplay here http://www.milanoo.com/Buy-Ouran-High-School-Host-Club-c493 and I really like it. Just the jacket here is $54, not including shipping. Though I had to re-make my tie because that was the only thing I was not satisfied with. But when I re-made it, I got a black tie at Walmart for $10 and purple ribbon for $0.53, and I sewed it on. I hope this helps.

I've found some good resources for Ouran cosplays on Amazon, such as a jacket:
And a tie, which you could either sew a purple ribbon onto or paint a purple stripe with fabric paint:
I haven't actually bought these yet, however I wish you well with this!

Personally I just stalk thrift stores like mad. (I got a really great jacket for my Ouran cosplay by doing that. It's a teeny bit too big for me but it helps hide the days when I don't feel like wearing my binder with it) But for your group it would be harder to match the shades unless you got really lucky.
You could sew it...? You could get a pattern on sale for 1.99 at Joanns/Hobby Lobby and probably drop around $25 in fabric per blazer depending on the quality of fabric and whether or not you get 40% off coupons for the fabric. But they would all match and be sized perfectly.
