Any suggestions for Tampa bay area? :-)

Any suggestions for Tampa bay area? :-)
I second that!
During Metrocon I tend to go to the Marriott Waterside for nice photos, but keep in mind that there a many other guests that might interfere. There was a rude man calling us clowns when I was trying to take this picture http://bloodycoffee.deviantart.com/art/Pandora-Hearts-Down-319588282

Another location might be Hyde Park. I haven't been there but I hear it's a nice place :)

hyde park is nice but also quite busy :-(

couple places i thought might be nice if you are in the tampa bay area

clearwater + honeymoon island
-i like how far clearwater beach extends, i like it better in the spring time when it's still a little bit cooler and not as many people
-honeymoon island is also very nice, you don't have to go into the admission part of the park, just out front next to the beach is also a good area
tarpon spring - sponge dock (free)
-usually pretty empty other than around dinner time, nice area on the deck
weeki wachee spring area (free + admission)
-there are 2 parts to it, the weeki wachee spring park is very nice or if you go in the river country community (no gate) there are areas right next to the spring itself, allowing people to kayak, very nice too

but i think overall florida is a little bit too hot in the summer time for outdoor, which sucks >-<
any indoor recommendations?

Is there anyplace cool in/near Pensacola? That's about as far as I can go.

For the Manatee/Sarasota area there's the Ringling Museum of Art. http://www.ringling.org/
There are some nice outside areas but I know they have a policy for wedding-type photoshoots in the courtyard. I'm not sure how cosplay photoshoots would go over in the courtyard but the outside is still nice.

Pinellas County: I tend to like going to Lake Seminole Park to do photoshoots! Madeira Beach is good for photoshoots as well. c:

My problem is finding nice indoor locations to use. Any suggestions for indoor photoshoots in the Pinellas County / Tampa area??? c:"

In Volusia County there's a small park/thing in Port Orange/Daytona Beach called Sugar Mill Gardens. It's a gorgeous place for outdoor shoots and they even have an area where people have weddings, so there's benches and a big arch. (also they have giant dinosaur statues...)

There's another park in Port Orange called the All Children's Park that has some long nature trails, tennis courts, some stuff I haven't yet explored, some kids play equipment (the entire thing looks like a big pirate ship... sort of.)

I'm bad at explaining stuff, so here's some quick links to pictures --

Sugar Mill Gardens:

All Children's Park:

Some other places that I won't personally recommend because I don't know their policies are historical places (St. Augustine, etc.) and places like Sugar Mill that have old military stuff and old buildings.

Anyone know of good locations in Brevard County?

Anyone know of good locations in Brevard County?

I find the only real decent places in Brevard are the little parks next to some of the causeways. Basically, head towards the water.

I'm thinking for Wakulla County, since I live there....

You could go to the Springs.... Or if it's more military-oriented, down to the Fort in St. Marks.

You could explore the back roads of Newports, since Natural Bridge is around that area.

And more into St. Marks: I was heading down the St. Marks river, going back to the docking area by the fort, and I saw this little island, with trees and rocks and it looked awesome. I don't know how you would be able to get over there without getting your costume wet, or getting questioned by FWC, but it's a possibility.

And as for Leon County:

You can go to Mission San Luis, one of the many parks, the Episcopal Church on Monroe Street (though you might want to get permission first)...

Wakulla County is rural and woodsy, but still rather beautiful, when it isn't swampy and wet.
You can find a good number of woodsy areas in Leon County as well, even in Tallahassee, despite it being a city.

Anybody else have any areas?

Any for Jacksonville? Other than the landing?

Tallahassee has some awesome locations, but it is too bad nobody really lives here lol

Any suggestions for St. Lucie County?

Another Port Orange/Daytona Beach area would be the beach, but Ponce Inlet in particular is really pretty in certain areas. You have to pay to get in (unless you have a beach pass I think), but they have the jetty and lots of rocky places that overlook disappearing island and the inlet.
Heres a few photos I've taken at the jetty there; http://sammyzilla.deviantart.com/art/Siren-II-301049381?q=gallery%3ASammyzilla%2F25393098&qo=29

and here's a bunch I've taken at Sugar Mill Gardens since I used to photograph there all the time;

Oh my gosh, BOK TOWER!!! I live about twenty minutes from there and it's PERFECT for photoshoots!!! I could just kiss you right now, Champuro!
But really, it's gorgeous there. Very cheap to get in (and free if you have a friend who's a member) and there's a beautiful stained-glass bell tower with a koi pond around it, then a botanical garden and many different paths through the wilderness... It's the only place in the world I'd want to get lost. <3 Just don't go on a windy day, because it's the highest point in the county. The best time to go is spring when all the azaleas are blooming and it's still a bit cool; it's gorgeous.

Any suggestions for St. Lucie County?

the botanical gardens off of psl blvd and it's n the other side of veterans memory road, also n vet rd behind the Walgreens there's a walking tree area of course the beach, and believe it of not but a few kid parks are really great some are in Jensen beach and if you go to Stuart right by the docks downtown Stuart there is that place i've never done photo shoots in these places but i've seen a lot of people do them and my step sisters weeding to boot also i know them from taking pictures of my son and his friends
