Has anyone ever ordered from FM-anime? It says the pictures on the website are their own and i find the cosplay on the website looks very good :$. Any experiences with that website? Did your costume look like the actual photo? Only bad thing for me is :( shipping tends to cost a decent amount because i live in Canada T__T $35.00

How long did it take to ship and be made? I'm reading that they take a very long time? About 2 months? :(

I bought shoes from there once. They were exactly like the pictures but they ripped upon my first con with them (also the first time wearing them for more then trying on). Not sure about cosplays though..But the shoes said they were made to order to size..It took about 3-4 weeks. No longer then that though. Id assume cosplays from there aren't much different..

They have a lot of stolen photos; most notably Jumplove has come and straight out said that they had no permission to use her Haruhi photos.

My guess is that they resell things from taobao at hugely marked up prices.

is that for the wigs or the cosplay?

I don't have the list that I used to (it was on a Notepad on my stolen laptop), but off the top of my head, they have stolen photos from:

Wigs:
Ghost Cos (they even stole Ghost's customer photos)
Yi Cheng Hua Lan
Yuki Cos
Jennifer Cosplay (an Ebay seller)

Cosplay:
Blaze Crimson (and thus by extension Jumplove, akari1864, King Crimson, Huan Lan, and another girl whose name escapes me)
M-Obsession (this one was particularly bad; in the beginning they did not even blur out the logo, although they eventually did)
True Light (not on the FM-Anime site; they stole the photos for their FB page)
Kaaoyi

Other:
Stolen photos of Ball-jointed-doll accessories

You could probably do a forum search for older threads; the stolen photo thing has been mentioned since before I even came to Coscom.

Just checked the site. Most the images are obviously stolen and the prices are ridiculous. >.>

They're pretty reliable, despite the stolen photos, etc.

I would compare prices to them and other sellers and pick whichever is cheaper. Their quality is still decent. I buy some wigs from them because it's cheaper then buying off of ebay (and I literally cannot order from taobao for my life, through another person or not.)

Wow really for me ebay is the cheapest lol because free shipping. Seriously online shopping while living in Canada is pretty bad. Depending on what method the website uses it ends up costing alot more than if I were American :'( I was about to order from fm-anime until my entire set would result in $60 shipping... x__x. The prices look about similar/average to other shops except their shipping is higher.

Yeah, shipping to Canada is a LOT and Canadian customs are ridiculously slow. Is your stuff for AN? If you're willing to, I'd poke around a bit on ebay or online and look for alternative options. FM-Anime can be really slow on shipping/handling. What costume are you looking for?

i need it by june 20ish and the shipping ended up being $60 LOL in total... Decided not to buy from them because i found a local cosplay seller that gets them made from suppliers with no shipping charges :S I was looking at the puella madoka magica kyoko costume btw.
