I want to cosplay Katen Kyokotsu and the wig that has been recommended to me doesn't seem right. The back of the wig comes down to this elongated point that lays down the neck, but the images I have show the hair being parted down the center of the back of the head and the hair trapped into the two side curls.
I have ZERO experience in styling wigs so I'm wondering if this recommended wig can be altered to be correct in the back, or would it look better if I got an unstyled base wig, and two clip curls to try to make it cold?

I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas. I have uploaded some images of the hair style for the character and the wig on my face book page : https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.358228557612263.1073741828.100002753642795&type=1&l=66848c88e2

since u have no experience, id go with this wig cause ur not going to want to create the "true" drill curls that she has (its a crazy process!). If you go with this, all you need to do is a little trimming to the back of the wig and a little on the bangs. this is really simple. you could get away without doing the back, but the bangs might want to be done. all you need is a barber razor which can be bought at any beauty supply store. its super easy to use. and itll look natural as soon as ur done.
