View Full Version : Finished Naruto Gloves

04-04-2004, 12:30 PM
I finished my Naruto gloves recently, and I was wondering what all of you here would think about them. I put them up on ebay, just to see how they might do. I figure I can always make more of them if I made one for myself. The pair took me about 7 hours to make. The pictures should be attached. Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated. Or if anyone is interested in a pair for themselves....

pay some bum to help you sew so you can double your output and then you could make more money for your costume and other props

Those look really nice! If you hadn't said you made them I would have thought they were the official ones ^_^.

My only "beef" is that where the fingers cut off, the edges look a little messy (are they unfinished?). If they are unfinished, I would suggest putting a little rolled hem in them. It might just be the image though, it's a little grainy because of the compression.

Overall, good job ^_^. You don't see too many people attempting to work with metal.

I'm really pleased with the quality of the gloves. I almost thought they were real for a moment! Nice job, I think if I were to cosplay Kakashi I would buy a pair :3

Does anyone have reference pics for the anbu gloves? Im not quite sure what those are, or what they look like.

Hmm...I can't see that picture...anyway...

SURE you can buy some gloves! If you like you can try bidding on them at ebay (search naruto gloves), or if they're a bit out of your price range, I can set up a Buy It Now auction, or just email me and we can work something out.

You will get some real nice Anbu pics of Itachi in a few Naruto eps

BTW, I love the metal, it's perfect, and the button is amazing. Ummmmm I would maybe suggest if someone commisioned them, to give quotes on different types of material, like you can use that and maybe sew in a top layer of a satin black to make it look sleek, or satin Dark blue, to give it that "anime gloss". But yea, if I had to rank your gloves on a scale of 1 - 10, you get a 9, that's pretty much perfection. I would of mistaken them myself.

I would love it if you could set up a buy it now option, I am looking into your current auction, not sure if I will make the deadline (My user ID is jorganvonstrangle). If you could let me know when you are going to use the buy it now one, that would be fantastic!

EDIT: for the pic search search google for freaky eye, you will get a kakashi shrine, go to media, color (manga scans), and look at the one of kakashi with his anbu outfit and all the dogs. Sorry about the link, i didnt check it before now.

Batmanbury, I'd love to e-mail you, but it says that your e-mail adress has been blocked. If you could write here or e-mail me (Reaperman881@charter.net) that would be cool, I check this thread about once daily or so.

the metal on the gloves are a bit too big in my opinion. judging from the size of the glove, the metal is too big and would dwarf a person with small hands. everything else looks nice though. just the size of the metal plates just stood out as too big to me.

What did you use for the metal?? I need some ideas for my own pair of gloves (not naruto, but yeah.)

batmanbury: i just saw those on ebay!!! :) i thought that they looked REALLY awsome... do you think you'll be putting up anymore with a "buy it now" option?

i used aluminium, and the metal is qutie fine, those are not big gloves for small hands but they are quite good on my hand. (if u were refering to me that is)

Good job! I agree, the glove fingers need to be readjusted. The metal looks great! Personally, I thought the metal had a swirl in it... or am I mistaken on that?

05-04-2004, 09:10 PM
There is not a leaf mark, or swirl on the metal part of the gloves, only on the headband.

Wow... those look VERY nice. I'm impressed with using the metal plates there, something I'm still iffy about using, heh. But yeah, I like the way they look (the material looks) better than the official ones!
