I know people have asked about what to use to get the uber-pale look, but I was just wondering if someone could clarify exactly which one to use. I don't have too much money and I don't want to end up getting the wrong thing, so it would be much appreciated if someone could point me in the right direction in the way of Ben Nye makeup for my Death costume.

You can get Ben Nye makeup at theatrical supply stores. I prefer Kryolan though, the results IMO are smoother. It's available at the same places or their website is at http://www.kryolan.com/en/Home/Home.htm

For pale skin on a budget, I often simply get foundation in a lighter tone than my skin actually is. I just apply it to my arms, neck, chest, etc, in addition to my face. I am medium toned, so getting the most ivory liquid makeup seems to do the trick.
Make sure, if you do theatrical makeup, that you test it out first. I used something once (I don't recall the brand) and it made my skin very irritated, I had a bumpy rash for a week and a half afterwards. I am not one who usually has reactions to, well... anything. Too bad I didn't know it irritated me until after I had it on all night, all over my face. (the rash didn't show until the next morning, at least, I didn't notice it until then)

Hm, well thank you for the tips, but that wasn't exactly what I was asking, I guess I wasn't being clear. What I was asking was more along the lines of what particular product I should be getting, as there are a couple that look like they'd work, and I want to get something that will work best for my costume. So if anyone has used something in particular, not even necesarilly Ben Nye makeup, and can recommend a specific product, that's what I was asking.

look at my "experimental makeup" photo in my image gallery. there's a list of products that I used.

Are you asking for something more like this (http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=120327&password=420d4a6db653917c7cc9be67c7f040ad&sort=1&cat=7289&page=1)?
I did that with Ben Nye white makeup (and Sephora liquid eyeliner and Jane black eyeshadow). It took forever to get coverage like that though; I used an applicator sponge.

Yeah, that's definitely more of what I meant. Thanks!

For my <a href="http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=76702&sort=1&cat=500&page=2">Morpheus cosplay</a>, I used Kryolan brand "Aquacolor" makeup; you just apply it with a damp sponge. Make sure to wash your face beforehand as oily skin will lead to a blotchy-white face. ^_^
