Was it recent? Starting last night deleted photos send emails to the owner with information as to why it may have been deleted. Some of the reasons include:

-Images that were partially uploaded/incomplete
-Broken images
-Images that did not conform to our published site contribution and usage rules, such as offensive or sexually suggestive images
-Artwork
-CG'ed images containing artwork, official game logos or other trademarks
-Comparison shots containing artwork
-The overwhelming majority of images in your gallery must be cosplay-related.

If you want me to review the photo in question send me a PM with a link to it elsewhere and I'll take a look at it.

Yes, I believe you are talking about the image of you and Rommie from the TV show, Andromeda.

The rules for posting images are here: http://www.cosplay.com/rules.php
0. The photo gallery is for PHOTOS. No artwork is allowed.
1. You must be the copyright holder (owner) of the photo. In other words, you took the photo yourself.

The comparison photo you had was an official photo from the show's site, and that is not allowed. You should only post photos that you've taken or photos with some light CG.

Yes thats the pic, but you could have at least notify me to replace or just post my own pic instead?

Well as moderators, we expect that the people who upload photos follow the rules. It clearly states on the upload page:

PHOTOS ONLY. No artwork, or CG's which contain artwork or trademarked logos. No comparison shots containing artwork. For more information, view the complete rules at http://www.cosplay.com/rules.php. (http://www.cosplay.com/rules.php)

Now if you didn't read that (which is in bright red and stands out pretty well) and posted a photo that's in violation, we are expected to delete it.

Remember, Admin and cosplay.com is giving you 10mb of free image hosting space (more upon request).

The least you can do is follow the rules.
