I'm going as Umi Ryuuzaki from Magic Knights Rayearth... I'm also really short. ^_^;;;

Umi is the tallest of the three knights, so I'm wondering...should I get high heel boots?

It would be weird if Umi is the shortest... @_@

I'm just afraid that I can't stand alot of walking in them.

Is it a good idea?
They go with my costume and all too...

Id say if your going to be wearing your costume all day go for something more comfortable, but if your only planing to were it for a few hours or on stage go for the high heels.

A group is always more harmonious when characters are proportional, true, but you also have to think of your feet. You didn't mention how high the boots were...

My suggestion, get some boots with a chunky heel and a platform, they won't hurt your feet as much as thin high heels and you will be a lot more stable on them.

By experience, I would say to stay under or equal to 4 inches. Anything else will strain your back and make you really uncomfortable.

Maybe you can make sure the others wear flats, and just wear a 2 inch heel? 2 inch heels will give you a little more height, and are ultra-comfy.

Moreover, you can always cheat for the pictures.
Have the one out of proportion sitting, kneeling, or bending down. Or have the tallest ones stand with their hips out to one side (you know the usual "sexy anime" pose), while you stand extra-straight, this will make them look shorter.

Wow, thanks for the tips.

I think the boots are about 1 1/2 inches high...

My friends suggested that I wear them when I take pictures and bring my shoes with me when I'm walking around.

If they're platforms, or thick-heeled, you shouldn't have much of a problem. Try those cushions you can put in shoes to cushion your feet. They've saved me at numerous cons ^_^
