My camera takes some mad good pictures, only problem is that the pictures are about 1 Mb each when the size limit for any picture on this website is 150 Kb. How can I make them take up less space, and how do I go about doing it?

I'm having the similar problem....however when I do try and shrink them down to around 100kb or so they all seem to look horriable...I was hoping to get them down to like 60ish because I have around 200 from acen I want to put up ^^

Shrinking may work but is there an faster way to do it instead of opening each one with a paint program and doing it manually for each picture?

Edit: Which file type has the best quality for the same file size? (eg: Jpeg, gif etc) :chatah:

Shoot for an image size around 500 pixels on the long side and if you're saving in photoshop, save them around 75% quality. You'll get files around 50-80KB that way and they'll look good.

What about reducing the DPI?

Images for the web should be at 72DPI.

My camera must be REALLY good. I lowered them to 50% quality and my pictures still take around 120kb
