I finally got some good pics of my Rinoa costume up, so please check out my gallery ( http://images.cosplay.com/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=1785 ) and tell me what you think! The only thing I really have missing are the belts on the boots which I'm still working on, and the zippers are hard to see on the shorts, but they are there! I think I'm going to repaint them a brighter silver so that they show up better. Any suggestions would be very helpful. Thanks! :)
I especially like this pic: http://images.cosplay.com/showphoto.php?photo=140565&password=d35c081712aea66d655fef2d561c3f16&sort=1&cat=500&page=1

WOW! Awesome Rinoa! That look really nice! I like the picture of you running as well! ^.^ Where did you find your fabric? I'm redoing a Rinoa I did, and the fabric isn't right...I cut it too short, also. >.<;;
But anyway, nice job!

Good job!! ^_^ Here are some picky suggestions (I am also working on a Rinoa), so prepare thyself:
- Maybe I can't tell from the picture, but the fabric should be ribbed, like sweater fabric. I KNOW it's impossible to find, but if you one day find it, I suggest remaking the costume in the same day. =)
- You should definitely get a wig.
- I started a debate about Rinoa's skirt (http://forums.cosplay.com/showthread.php?t=34849) that you might find interesting/helpful. Though the skirt might be made of denim, it doesn't have the things denim skirts usually have (fly zipper, waistband, beltloops, etc.).
- The tie on the front of the duster is actually more underbust (see attached picture).
I'm sorry if that sounded too long-winded!! Once you see my costume, I'm sure you'll also have a ton of picky suggestions ^_^ But again, great job, and beautiful pictures! O_O

Full Moon Bunny: Thanks! I actually found it at Joann's, but it took a lot of hunting before it appeared. I think its just luck with fabric stores sometimes. >_<
bananaluvs: LOL - yeah, I agree that a wig may be in order, but I haven't gotten around to that part yet. The fabric actually IS ribbed, but its small and hard to tell from the pics. Thank you for the suggestions! ^_^

Did you use the ribbed velour fabric from Joann's? I used the same kind on my Rinoa. It's so fuzzy and soft. ^^ I love how it feels. =P
In some of the FMV images, it seems that the skirt does have a waistband, but it's a very small one, about the size you'd see on a pair of jeans. It also has a bit of stonewash texture to it. (see attachment)
Witchwigs has a nice wig that I think will work well for Rinoa. I'm planning on ordering it because my last Rinoa wig died on me. >< Alicia Wig (http://www.worldofmagic.net/cartsnap/product_info.cgi?Wig_Cart+38531_1086982555+Wig_Car t_cart/images/38.jpg+cartsnap/Wig_Cart_cart/full_text/38.txt+38+StreetWear) I'd say just wait till the next cosplay.com witchwigs order and get it for about $27. ^^
Along with other things stated, the duster is actually about ankle length. I think you made yours about mid-calf length. The first one I made was about that length too. ^^ Again, if you ever find better fabric and you feel like remaking it, you can make it longer. For reference, I'm 5'4", and I made my duster 54 inches long and it's at my ankles.
Oh, there's also buckles on her boots, but it looks like you have the pointier toed 5 hole boots, so they look pretty accurate as far as that goes. ^^
