Was there too much Naruto and Inu Yasha cosplay?

Yes. No?

My opinion is no because both are popular and if people wanna cosplay as them then they can if they want. Saying that there was too much is like saying that there is a limit to cosplay, which there really isnt one.

I was actually surprised that there didn't seem to be too many Naruto (I mean the character not the show) cosplayers. There was a good variety of minor Naruto characters like Asuma, Chouji, Shino, etc. And 3 Temaris! How cool is that!

As for Inu Yasha, I didn't think it was excessive and they were mostly well done, from what I remember...

I cosplayed as Kaede and got nothing but love for it! I don't think there was too much of either one.

I don't think they overdid the Naruto characters, although there were only 2 Naruto the whole time
There were quite a few more minor Naruto Characters.
And I only saw 4 Inu Yasha, all of which were well done.
So, no, I don't think it was overdone, this year seemed to have all sorts of cosplayers :D

I think there was a reasonably good assortment of cosplay this year. I will, however, admit that I started to get a bit weirded out by all of the people running around in the Naruto headbands that were for sale in Artist Alley. If I'd been one of the Naruto cosplayers who actually went all out on my costume, I would have been slightly miffed at so many plainclothes people running about in the headbands pretending they were cosplaying it as well.

But ... that's just me.

Inuyasha, on the other hand, I didn't see too much. I saw enough that I thought it was oddly appropriate that Inuyasha and Gunner Yuna were on the badges. I didn't really get the whole "I will sit for 50 cents" thing ... the cosplayer had to explain it to me. I felt silly, but I'm not much into the show.

I think what was really overkilled for me was the whole Chobits and Gothic Lolita thing. *All* of the costumes were exceedingly well done ... but there were so many of them I kind of had a brain overload and felt fried at seeing the white and black makeup everywhere.

Yeah, i'll agree with you, i was a bit miffed. I was also saddened cause i had to buy a headband. I couldn't get in touch with a friend of mine who makes great ones.

hey, i was the inuyasha that had the " i will sit for 50 cents" sign. don't feel bad you weren't the only one i had to explain it to. i actually made $30 off of that sign, but paid for it dearly in bruises.
