View Full Version : Help with a Fire Emblem costume...

I'm trying to make a Matthew costume (won't be ready for Otakon like I was hoping, but still want to do it) and I'm having trouble with his cloak, and figuring out how to make the collar on it, any help would be wanted. I'll find a picture to post soon if you don't know who I'm talking about.

Oh, he's from Fire Emblem 7 in Japan, but the only one out in the US.

Picture (copy-shortcut and paste if clicking does not work):

To me the top (most likely a hood IMO since he's a thief) appears to be inverted and a second piece could be sewn at about the neck, the loose material on the outside would then cover the seam.

Glad to see people interested in Fire Emblem cosplay. :bigtu:

Here's the thing, I tried putting on a cloak that has a hood (my cloak is more LotRish than anything, so I put it on sideways so the pin would be where that buckle is) and it didn't have the right shape of that collar, I'm thinking it's just a hoodless cloak that has a foot or so of extra lenght, but I'm hoping to find a pattern rather than to just wing it. :/

How can people not be interested in Fire Emblem for costumes, I'm trying to con my friends into making this a group thing and getting them to dress as Dorcas, Sain (or Kent, as he could do either) and Florina (or Nino, as she could do either) ^_^

Oh, Matthew, I was gonna do that one (still gonna, but sometime in the far off future, lol) But if you are able to get it done by Otakon 2005 come join us. ^^

And keep talking to your friend about doing florina. At otakon we're gonna have a Fiora and I'm doing Farina. It would be so cool to have all 3 sisters, lol.
