Hi there! Please excuse my absolute ignorance, I don't really have much experience with makeup. ^_^ I'm playing Jiraiya from Naruto this year at Otakon, and I need to know what I should use to make the stripes that go from his eyes to his chin. Something that won't sweat off in the traditional "unbelievably hot just in time for the con" weather would be wondaful! Thanks a lot!

If I did it right, a pic for those of you unfamiliar with Jiraiya.

I would suggest liquid latex. That's the best thing I've found. I use it to make my scar for my Kenshin costume and, if you do it right, it lasts ALL DAY and looks VERY REAL! It dries glossy, so I would suggest a light powder make-up over it to dull it if that's what you prefer. You can see the scar pretty good in this pic. (http://www.otakupics.com/ota03-DCP02827.jpg) You can go to Graftobian's website (http://www.graftobian.com/) to find the best quality stuff. They have massive amounts of make-up and it's all professional stuff. If you can't afford to have it over-nighted to you, you can try a costume supply store such as the Halloween Outlet. They have liquid latex there too. Hope this helps.
