oh dear god, I MUST warn you NOT TO MAKE A WIG UNLESS YOU KNOW! Its a huge mess if you mess up, and its just not a good idea unless you've made some before. Riku just has that platinum blond color flippy look kinda hair right? Go on ebay and look up seller karenswigs_international. I think you'll find what you're looking for and at a reasonable price.

Thanks... but i don't trust e-bay anymore... they have ripped me off WAY to many times... ALL I WANTED WAS THE VASH GUN!!! THAT'S ALL I ASK FOR!!! anyway... i will probably just buy a cheap place holder until i can find a good one... wich... for me... might take a while >_<

I can personally vouch for Karen. I have ordered from her several times. She has wonderful feedback, and with good reason. Her wigs are gorgeous, high-quality, fairly priced, and ship quick like lightning. She's a very sweet and professional seller. ^_^ Another thing I rather like about Karen's store is that you don't have to wait for an auction to end, you just buy. My experience has been that if it's during the day, she'll have e-mailed you an invoice within an hour, and the wig will be on your door in under two weeks.

Frankly, it's not fair to refer to eBay as an "it," since every seller (and buyer!) is different. You just need to buy with caution. That's true in real life too, not just eBay.

You're distrusting all of ebay cause of one person? ^^; Read their credits...

Katiebair.com has a bunch of wig tutorials...and witchwigs.com has plently of styles, you might want to check out some comissioners also, katiebair has links to some that arent booked too. If this is your first time styling a wig, you might want to get a cheap one somewhere to test out techniques and things.

Unless you mean acutally *make* the wig...heh...

Look on in the gallery for Gren. She made her own riku wig by making her own wefts. You could also do it via hand ventilation. With patience you can do it. http://www.mhrw.com/ft_tools6.html Ventilating how to. Just buy some holy mesh(strong mesh) and go at it with a ventilator tool. Caulking wefts via http://www.katiebair.com works great too.

Ahh, don't say that XD;;; there's a first time for everything, you know o_o how will she EVER know how to make a wig if she never even tries?

In order to make a wig, you start with a "base" wig that's the closest you can get to the real thing, and possible to style it like the real thing. For example, always start with a longer wig than you need, and if the character only has a few bangs, DON'T start with a wig with bangs.

Check http://www.witchwigs.com and http://www.amphigory.com for wigs at good prices. Both sites sell wigs taht come in the silvery-white color you need.

Check Katie Bair's wig advice forum and wig tutorials for tips. http://www.katiebair.com

And GO FOR IT!

P.S. If you find you don't want to make the wig, you can always commission it. If you have lots of time, and want a perfectly accurate wig, I suggest Katie Bair (link above). You need to let her know five monts in advance though, as per her "auction" system of getting wig orders on the roster. Also, by her system, the people who pay the most based on the amount of "time units" the wig needs will get first priority. Commissions don't come cheap!

I think that response was in reaction to the assumption that by "making a wig" she meant "making it from scratch"...i.e. hand-knotting all the wefts of hair and stuff like that. Which would be insanely time-consuming and only for people who really know what they're doing. What you're talking about is styling and modifying an existing wig.

As a base structure, maybe you could use a wig cap on a styrofoam head form (http://www.cosplaysupplies.com/wigs/wigsnew11.html) or a flapper hat frame (http://forums.cosplay.com/showpost.php?p=778141&postcount=68)

They sell real wig bases here. http://www.hisandher.com/store/shop_product.asp?main=MAIN_006&sub=SUB_007&pro=23 Gren was ever so nice to help me in my wig making ventures. You can make your own for cheaper though. I would suggest using the mesh they have or something similar depending on how you are going about the wig. Hope this helps. ^_^
