I had my NES hooked up for a couple weeks a few weeks ago before I got my Dreamcast. Ended up buying Dragon Warrior, Kirby's Adventure, Blaster Master and Tengen Ms. Pac-Man over the course of a weekend then.

Mega Man 2
Zelda
Rad Racer - I remember looking at the San Fransisco track and thinking I had died and gone to graphics heaven ^^v

those would be the three I throw in first if I ever hooked one up again.

there were sooo many great games on nes... now they give us crap on the ps2 because they think graphics are everything.

joust was such a good classic game.

>>>now they give us crap on the ps2 because they think graphics are everything

O_o;; Eh??

That's so false. There are bad and good games on every system. I for one would rather pick up Bloodrayne than Joust, but hey...that's just me.

Not to say there aren't plenty of good games that are older. I still pick up Xenogears(circa 97) and play it over my other RPGs that are newer.

I love my NES. -swoon- It has lots of golf games on it, since it was my dad's first... but I buy lots of games cheap at the Salvation Army. ^_^

Xenogears is better, but I'd certainly rather play some older games than all-graphics no-plot/character/gameplay stuff.

Everyone is forgetting the classics - the Technos Soft games! I still play River City Ransom, Super Dodge Ball, and Crash N' the Boys every once in awhile. :D

*has a NES hooked up min his bedroom and in the family room*

Some of my favorite gaming days were on the NES.

Dragon Warrior I-IV
Final Fantasy
Athena
Rad Racer
TMNT: Arcade
Kirby
Star Tropics
Ultima

and a ton of others.

I was playing the Atari 2600 since 1978 but it wasn't until the NES in 1986 I knew what gaming was.

FRom,
Joe

most of the rpg's were great on nes (of course, there was nothing to compare them to except d&d since they were practically the first of their kind)

others of my favs. include excite bike, renegade, elevator action, rockman series, zelda+startropics series, super mario bros ( !! ), and many others

i've got my original nintendo from like 1987, had it since i was a baby :D it's in practically perfect condition (the games need my magic touch to work though *blows dust from the cartridges*)

Eeeeto, Zelda 2 I like better than one. Uhmm... of course... Kirby and... let's see, Marble Madness was fun. Excitebike. All the Megaman's, Rampage, Ice Climbers, Battle City, FF, Clu Clu Land, Snake Rattle and Roll, Blaster Master, Bubble Bobble, Burger time, Charlie's Circus, Chip and Dale, Ducktales, Metal Storm, Q-bert, Spy Vs Spy and Twinbee. Hmm... am I missing anything?
